Summary

Lydia gets a gig performing stand-up comedy at Java Nutt one night and is excited to add some variety to her life. But Pepper Ann is worried that she will embarrass her with her act and tries to persuade her to cancel.

Eventually Pepper Ann comes to realize that she can't stop Lydia from doing something just because of her own selfishness.

Quotes

Lydia (in Pepper Ann's fantasy): My daughter, Pepper Ann, and I went out the other day to buy her first bra. She got all embarrassed and said, 'Don't say that word!', and I said, 'What, bra? It's nothing to be embarrassed about, it's just a bra!'
Milo: I'm gonna tell my grandchildren about this. I've always wanted an 'I was there when it began' story.
Pepper Ann: Mom, that was ten minutes ago. I'm older now, wiser!

Trivia

  • The title of this episode is a parody of HBO's Def Comedy Jam.
  • This episode strangely reverts to having traditional ink and paint after all of season 2 was colored digitally.
