Alice Kane Went Down To Calcutta is the B part of the sixth episode of Season 5 of Pepper Ann. It was paired with "A is For Average" and originally aired on November 6, 2000.

Summary Edit

Alice Kane tells Pepper Ann that she now wants to settle their differences and asks Pepper Ann to forgive her. Pepper Ann is taken aback by this and decides Alice Kane must be up to something and is simply trying to gain her trust so she can betray her later, leading her to grow quite paranoid about any activity the two new "friends" do together.
Unfortunately, her plan to always be one step ahead of Alice Kane backfires when it turns out Alice Kane really did want to patch things up with Pepper Ann because her father got a job offer in Calcutta, India and she's leaving Hazelnut.

Alice Kane: Pepper Ann, I realize that for several years now, there's been an...unspoken animosity between us.

Pepper Ann: Oh no, I speak about it all the time. Just the other day I was telling Nicky how annoying you—

Alice Kane: Yes. The point is...
Lydia: Peppie! Why is the phone always off the hook? Someone may be trying to reach us in case of an emergency!

Pepper Ann: Well, NutBank kept calling about your credit card...

Lydia: Oh. Well...that's different.
